2. Hosting

This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When the website is accessed, Cloudflare automatically processes server log files (IP address, timestamp, pages requested) to deliver and secure the site. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

3. Launch notification / email form

If you sign up for the launch notification, we store your email address solely to send you the one-time notification about the App Store launch of PowerPace.

Processor: Brevo SAS, 55 rue d'Amsterdam, 75008 Paris, France (EU servers). A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Brevo.

Your email address is deleted after the launch notification has been sent. No further emails are sent, and no data is shared with third parties for advertising purposes.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing hello@powerpace.app.

4. PowerPace App for iPhone & Apple Watch

4.1 Principle. PowerPace works without an account and without servers of our own. All training, body, and health data is processed and stored exclusively on your devices — optionally also in your personal iCloud (see 4.5). The app contains no advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs.

4.2 Apple Health (HealthKit). The Apple Health integration is optional and only takes effect if you explicitly allow it via the iOS permission dialog.

4.3 Location (GPS). For outdoor workouts (e.g. running, cycling, hiking), the app uses your iPhone's or Apple Watch's location — at your request — to record route, distance, pace, and elevation profile. Recorded routes are stored exclusively on your devices (or in your personal iCloud, see 4.5) and are not transmitted to us or to third parties. You can revoke the location permission at any time (iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).

4.4 Weather data (optional, off by default). If you enable the weather feature in the app settings, the app fetches weather data for your workout from the Norwegian Meteorological Institute (MET Norway, api.met.no). This transmits your geo-coordinates rounded to roughly one kilometer and the time of the request — no other personal data, no account, no cookies. MET Norway is a state institution based in Norway (EEA — the GDPR applies directly); for details on its data processing, see its privacy notice (met.no). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent by enabling the feature); revoke at any time by disabling it in the app settings.

4.5 iCloud sync (optional, can be turned off). The app can sync your data between your own devices via your personal, private iCloud database (Apple CloudKit). The data resides exclusively in your iCloud account — we have no access to it. Apple's privacy policy applies (apple.com/legal/privacy). You can disable syncing in the app settings; the app then works purely locally on the device. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (provision of the feature you requested).

4.6 Tutorial links (optional). You can attach your own video links to exercises (e.g. YouTube or TikTok). Only when you tap such a link does the app load the provider's content in an in-app browser; as with any website visit, your IP address is transmitted to that provider and its privacy policy applies. No training or health data is transmitted in the process.

4.7 App Lock (Face ID / Touch ID). The optional App Lock uses the biometric features of iOS. The biometric check is performed entirely by the operating system; the app never receives biometric data — only the result of the check (unlocked yes/no).

4.8 Deletion. You can delete all data stored in the app at any time (Settings → "Delete all data") or uninstall the app. If iCloud sync is enabled, deletions are propagated to your private iCloud database as well. Workouts written to Apple Health can additionally be managed and deleted directly in the Health app.

5. PowerPace App for Android

5.1 Principle. PowerPace for Android works without an account and without servers of our own. All training, body, and health data is processed and stored exclusively on your device — optionally also as a backup in your personal Google Drive (see 5.5). The app contains no advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs.

5.2 Health Connect. The Health Connect integration is optional and only takes effect if you explicitly allow it via the Android permission dialog.

5.3 Location (GPS). For outdoor workouts (e.g. running, cycling, hiking), the app uses your device's location — at your request — to record route, distance, pace, and elevation profile; while recording, a foreground service with a visible notification is active. Recorded routes are stored exclusively on your device (or in your Google Drive backup, see 5.5) and are not transmitted to us or to third parties. You can revoke the location permission at any time (Settings → Apps → PowerPace → Permissions). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).

5.4 Weather data (optional, off by default).

5.5 Google Drive backup (optional). On request, the app stores a complete backup of your data in the hidden app data folder of your own Google Drive account. Only the PowerPace app can access this folder — we have no access to your data. The storage service is provided by Google (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland); Google's privacy policy applies (policies.google.com/privacy). The feature is opt-in (sign-in with your Google account) and can be disabled at any time; you can revoke the app's access in your Google account and delete the stored app data in your Google Drive settings ("Manage apps"). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).

5.6 Tutorial links (optional). You can attach your own video links to exercises (e.g. YouTube or TikTok). Only when you tap such a link does the app load the provider's content in an in-app browser; as with any website visit, your IP address is transmitted to that provider and its privacy policy applies. No training or health data is transmitted in the process.

5.7 App Lock (biometrics). The optional App Lock uses Android's biometric features (fingerprint, face recognition, or device PIN). The check is performed entirely by the operating system; the app never receives biometric data — only the result of the check (unlocked yes/no).

5.8 Deletion. You can delete all data stored in the app at any time (Settings → "Delete all data") or uninstall the app. You can additionally remove an existing Google Drive backup in your account's Google Drive settings (see 5.5). Workouts written to Health Connect can be managed and deleted directly in Health Connect.
